WIR

When you ask yourself what things are particularly important to you, you sometimes come up with unexpected answers. I am proud to be the editor of the oldest magazine for disabled people in Germany, perhaps the oldest in the world. WIR was founded in 1954 for an editorial group in the Fürst Donnersmarck Foundation's facilities. The magazine tries to be as barrier-free as possible. Readability is the top priority. The basic font is set in a surprisingly large size. Particularly matt paper is used for the best feel. I first designed WIR in 2011 as a stand-in, which led to the idea of a relaunch. In an internal pitch in 2012, my design won out over another for the customer. In 2019, I relaunched the magazine so that it perfectly matched the new online presence.

I have been responsible for the graphic design of WIR since 2012 as the graphic designer for bleifrei Medien+Kommunikation. After the Fürst Donnersmarck Foundation recently got a new corporate design, I adapted and further developed the WIR 2022 once again.
